Deep Tide TechFlow News, on March 27, according to the mediator source reported by The Wall Street Journal on the 26th, Iran has not, as U.S. President Trump claimed, “requested” the U.S. to delay airstrikes on Iran’s energy facilities by another 10 days, nor has it given a final response to the U.S. proposal of a “15-point plan” to end the conflict. The report states that Iranian officials have informed the mediator that they are willing to negotiate, but the Iranian leadership has not yet made a statement or a final decision. Previously, Iranian officials explicitly demanded that the U.S. withdraw the “excessive demands” outlined in the “15-point plan,” otherwise they would not agree to meet to discuss a possible ceasefire. These officials also ruled out making Iran’s missile program a starting point for negotiations and refused to commit to permanently ending uranium enrichment activities. The mediator pointed out that the chances of reaching a ceasefire remain slim, as both Iran and the U.S. have made extreme demands that the other side cannot accept. (Cailian Press)
