Shouchuang Futures: Raw material prices rebound, bottle chip futures regain strength

On the supply side, the bottle chip factories are continuing to ramp up operations after the holiday. The 750,000-ton plant in Sanfangxiang is planned to restart around mid-March, while another 250,000-ton plant will undergo maintenance and shut down in late February. China Resources JIangyin’s 1.2 million-ton polyester bottle chip plant was shut for maintenance starting in mid-January and has restarted in early March.

On the demand side, domestic end-user operations are gradually recovering, and spot transaction volumes have increased.

In summary, polyester raw material prices are rebounding, which has led to a halt in the decline and a rebound in bottle chip prices. In the short term, bottle chip futures are expected to follow cost fluctuations and trend slightly stronger, with attention to geopolitical developments and changes in sea freight costs.
