Abstract generation in progress

General Motors has commenced supervised public-road testing of its next-generation “eyes-off” automated driving technology on limited-access highways in California and Michigan, utilizing over 200 development vehicles. This move signifies a shift from manual data collection to active testing of automated functions, building on over a million miles of data collected previously. GM plans to introduce this capability in 2028, starting with the Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, and eventually expand it from highways to driveway-to-driveway functionality across various models.
