Lam Research Corporation (LRCX) and IBM have announced a five-year partnership aimed at developing processes and materials for sub-1nm logic scaling, focusing on novel materials, fabrication, and High-NA EUV lithography. This collaboration builds on over a decade of successful work, with IBM noting Lam Research’s critical contributions to logic scaling breakthroughs like the 2nm node chip. Lam Research will provide its specialized equipment for etching, deposition, and resist technology to support the development of complex 3D architectures.
