The U.S. court has ruled that Perplexity AI’s intelligent agent products must cease accessing the website of the United States. Amazon accused Perplexity’s browser agent Comet of shopping on Amazon as a consumer without authorization, constituting computer fraud. The court supported Amazon’s allegations, ordering Perplexity to stop accessing password-protected user accounts and to destroy copies of Amazon data. This ruling is a temporary injunction, allowing Perplexity to file an appeal. (Cailian Press)
