Multiple major American tech companies are preparing to go public. Claude developer Anthropic is reportedly set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) as early as this October, going head-to-head with ChatGPT developer OpenAI, which is rumored to plan its IPO in the fourth quarter.

Bloomberg cites informed sources stating that Anthropic is in preliminary talks with financial institutions about potential lead roles for its IPO. Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley are expected to play key roles in the IPO activities of both Anthropic and OpenAI. Earlier reports from the American tech site The Information indicated that Anthropic aims to raise approximately $60 billion (around HK$468 billion).

Valuation Reaches $380 Billion

Anthropic completed a $30 billion financing round in February, achieving a post-money valuation of $380 billion (around HK$2.96 trillion).

According to reports, SpaceX is said to have secretly submitted its IPO application as early as this week, with the offering potentially happening in June and aiming to raise $75 billion, with a target valuation exceeding $1.75 trillion. OpenAI is expected to complete its IPO in the fourth quarter, having also completed a new financing round of $110 billion in February, reaching a valuation of $730 billion.
