ZachXBT Accuses Circle
Circle has blocked 16 wallets, citing a legal process in the US, details of which are not disclosed. On-chain researcher ZachXBT stated that the addresses belong to different entities that are not connected to each other or to the case itself. This casts doubt on the justification for freezing USDC. Many market participants see a risk of increased unjustified blockings due to Circle's actions. MetaMask developer Taylor Monahan emphasized that this is not an isolated incident. The Circle company has not provided any public explanations.
