The Hong Kong SAR Government’s Immigration Department announced that, to further facilitate travelers visiting Hong Kong and improve the efficiency of border crossing, starting today (the 27th), the eligibility criteria for frequent visitors to register for the e-channel service will be relaxed, and the registration process for using the e-channel service will be simplified. Under the new arrangement, frequent visitors to Hong Kong, including travelers holding valid travel documents and multiple-entry visas, only need to have visited Hong Kong International Airport two times or more in the past 24 months and meet the relevant conditions to register for the e-channel service for free. Upon successful registration, travelers can use the e-channel at various immigration control points in Hong Kong to carry out immigration checks, enjoying a more convenient crossing experience.
