Treat trading cryptocurrencies as a job, and you might be able to make stable profits.
Last November, I started with $100, made it to $1,000 three times, but also experienced three full drawdowns, losing everything each time.
It was only then that I realized: it's not that I can't make money, but that I don't know how to protect it or build a system.
Over the past few months, I've been refining my approach, and now I'm gradually stabilizing.
Here are the four truly useful points:
First, timing
I mainly place trades after 9 PM.
During the day, news is chaotic and false breakouts are common; in the evening, after emotions settle, the trend becomes clearer.
The essence is: filtering out noisy market conditions.
Second, signal confirmation
I don't rely on intuition, only three indicators: MACD golden/death crosses, RSI at extreme levels, Bollinger Band squeeze and breakout.
Only consider entering when at least two indicators align.
The core is to reduce incorrect trades.
Third, stop-loss mechanism
If I can monitor the market, I keep moving the stop-loss up as profits grow; if I can't monitor, I set a fixed 3% hard stop-loss.
Many people don't lack the skills—they just lose everything in one trade. Stay alive first, then make money.
Fourth, profit management
Take 30%-50% of the profit when you earn it. The account balance is just numbers; withdrawals are real money.
Lock in profits, break free from greed.
My family is from Shanghai’s top law firms and looks down on my crypto trading, even kicking me out of the house.
But so what? Getting into a top law school or not? Does life have to follow their path?
Everyone should live for themselves at least once.
Even if I blow up my account, I won't turn back.
Because I have a group of brothers following me. When I succeed, we all succeed; if I fail, we all fail.
Crypto trading isn't a get-rich-quick game; it's a game of execution.
