On March 20, the People’s Procuratorate of Xinxiang City filed a public prosecution against the former abbot of Shaolin Temple, Shi Yongxin (originally named Liu Yingcheng), for alleged embezzlement, misappropriation of funds, bribery of non-state personnel, and bribery at the Xinxiang Intermediate People’s Court, in accordance with the law.
