The world's first! Zhongguancun Forum launches AR+AI conference translation system
China Economic Net, Beijing, March 27 (Reporter Li Fang, Xu Zijie) In the AI era, translation has gained a new tool — at the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference plenary session, front-row guests wore AR glasses, utilizing an AR+AI conference translation system to present real-time subtitles within the AR glasses, addressing core pain points in international conference translation such as limited language coverage and delayed real-time delivery.
According to reporters, these glasses were jointly developed by Liangliang Vision and Zhipu AI, deeply integrating Liangliang Vision’s AR glasses with Zhipu AI’s large model capabilities, supporting real-time translation in 54 languages, with a delay of less than 1 second, single-use battery life of 8 hours, and stable operation 24/7, becoming the world’s first AR+AI conference translation system. This marks a shift in international conference translation from traditional equipment and human reliance to a new stage of higher efficiency, lower costs, and greater inclusiveness with AR+AI.

Unlike consumer-grade AR glasses, AR glasses for conference translation often need to be suitable for international conference scenarios with hundreds or thousands of participants, requiring the elimination of attenuation caused by distant audio capture to ensure consistent and clear information is received by attendees in both the front and back rows. In addition to hardware, software needs to address the challenge of adapting professional terminology for meetings.
“We have deeply integrated large model translation, pre-recording professional terms, guest lists, and proprietary names, and possess dynamic error correction capabilities,” a representative from Liangliang Vision stated. For high-specialty conference scenarios in technology, foreign affairs, and industry, the system is no longer just a “translation tool” but an intelligent infrastructure for complex international communication scenarios.
