A-shares sudden change! 002082 approaches the daily limit! Pharmaceutical stocks suddenly surge collectively
On March 24th, the A-shares opened higher and rebounded, with the North China 50 and Star Market Composite Index rising over 1%. The Shenzhen Component Index and CSI 300 also bottomed out and rebounded, while the ChiNext Index opened high but moved lower slightly into the red. Over 4,600 stocks rose, with trading volume showing a shrinking trend.
On the market, sectors such as defense and military industry, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, optical communication, and shipping and ports led the gains, while a few sectors like oil and gas extraction, aquaculture, motor manufacturing, and batteries showed a downward trend.
Pharmaceutical stocks favored by main funds
Pharmaceutical and biotechnology stocks strengthened across the board in the morning, with the CXO concept leading the rise, and the sector index opened high and surged over 3%. Fuxiang Pharmaceutical hit the daily limit up about one minute after opening, and Minophagen (rights protection) also reached the limit up in about ten minutes, with two boards in three days, while Baiohuitu reached a historical high.
Sub-sectors such as medical services, innovative drugs, immunotherapy, and assisted reproduction also surged, with Wanbangde (002082) hitting the limit up near the noon close, and Jinkai Biotechnology and International Medical leading the gains.
According to real-time monitoring data from Wind, as of the noon close, the Shenwan pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry saw a net inflow of over 4.2 billion yuan from main funds, with companies like WuXi AppTec, Fuxiang Pharmaceutical, and Wanbangde receiving over 100 million yuan in net inflows.
In news, on the 23rd, the world’s first hexavalent rotavirus vaccine started its first dose vaccination in Shanghai. This product is an oral hexavalent reconstituted rotavirus live vaccine covering six serotypes, achieving full coverage of the currently dominant G-type strains in China for the first time.
Rotavirus is the main pathogen causing rotavirus gastroenteritis, widely prevalent globally, and is one of the common types of infectious gastroenteritis in the population. Currently, there are no other hexavalent rotavirus vaccines available on the market.
CITIC Securities stated that the innovative drug sector has recently shown a sustained recovery, particularly the IO (immuno-oncology) related pipelines are overall strong, which is expected to drive the valuation recovery of the innovative drug sector. Currently, the market’s cost-performance ratio for innovative drug allocations is improving, combined with the gradually clearer first-quarter performance expectations, the sector presents stage-based allocation opportunities. It is recommended to pay attention to innovative pharmaceutical companies with solid clinical progress and international capabilities, focusing on core indicators such as the richness of research pipelines, clinical advancement rhythm, and overseas licensing progress.
Optical communication welcomes policy benefits
The optical communication concept opened significantly higher in the morning, with the sector index at one point rising over 2%. Zhongli Group (rights protection) hit the daily limit up at the opening, sealing the board for the third consecutive day, and Xineng Taishan also hit the daily limit up, while Tongding Interconnection, COSCO Shipping, and Tongguang Cable saw limit ups or rises of over 10%.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published a notice on organizing the 2026 annual urban “millisecond computing” special action, clearly defining the implementation scope of the first batch of urban “millisecond computing,” covering 50 cities (districts/counties) in 31 provinces (regions, municipalities).
According to the Ministry’s work deployment, this action outlines three specific goals: interconnection delays between computing centers of less than 1 millisecond, access delay for key locations to computing resources of less than 1 millisecond, and delay for computing applications aimed at end-users, such as computers, smart cameras, industrial smart devices, and various application terminals, not exceeding 10 milliseconds. By 2027, a citywide millisecond computing network capability system is expected to be basically formed across the country, with a coverage rate of urban computing 1-millisecond delay circles of no less than 70%.
The core carrier of millisecond-level delay is high-speed optical networks, with optical modules, optical fibers, high-end switches, and routers providing foundational support, especially for high-end optical modules with low delay and high bandwidth, where demand is expected to rise significantly.
LightCounting estimates that the current demand for optical modules has exceeded twice the supply, with demand for 800G optical modules remaining strong, and 1.6T optical modules expected to enter a large-scale release phase in 2026, with overseas major clients increasing their 2026 procurement plans to 20 million units.
Galaxy Securities believes that based on the continuous growth of demand, the shortage of production capacity will still be a major bottleneck restricting the development of optical communication in 2026. With China’s optical module manufacturers holding the top global market share and continuing to improve, there are ample opportunities for the industry chain to penetrate upstream during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.
