Market opens on March 27: The four major indices all decline, with the Shanghai Composite Index down nearly 1%. CPO, glass fiber, and other sectors lead the decline.

On March 27, the A-share market opened with weak performance, with all four major indexes showing a low opening. Among them, the Shanghai Composite Index led the decline with a drop of 0.95%. The Shenzhen Component Index followed closely, opening lower by 1.34%. The ChiNext Index and the STAR Market Composite Index were also not spared, opening lower by 1.10% and 1.64%, respectively, indicating that the market was under broad pressure.

In terms of sectors, indexes such as CPO, glass fiber, and copper foil / copper-clad laminates saw the largest declines, becoming the focus of market attention. These lackluster performances undoubtedly had a negative impact on overall market sentiment, and investors generally adopted a cautious stance.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong stock market also failed to escape the weakness. The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong fell 0.35% at the open, and the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped even more, down 0.44%, showing the linkage between the two markets. The weak performance in Hong Kong further intensified market concerns about global economic conditions.
