The total market capitalization across the entire market reaches a new all-time high, surpassing 116.8 trillion, a 34% year-over-year increase.

On March 25, the China Securities Regulatory Commission issued the February statistical monthly report.

As of February 28, 2026, there are 5,492 listed companies in the domestic stock market (referred to as “the whole market”), with the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges hosting 2,310, 2,887, and 295 companies respectively.

In terms of share type statistics, there are 5,234 companies issuing A-shares, 251 companies issuing multiple share types such as A+H and A+B, and 7 companies issuing B-shares.

In February, the whole market saw 8 new companies listed, with a total fundraising amount of 6.076 billion yuan, including 7 manufacturing sector companies; no companies were delisted. By the end of February, state-owned holding companies accounted for 27% of listed companies, private holdings for 63%; there are 3,758 manufacturing listed companies, a net increase of 15 since the start of the year.

The number of listed companies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang (excluding Ningbo), and Beijing was 724, 610, and 481 respectively, ranking top three, with 7 jurisdictions experiencing an increase in company numbers compared to the previous month.

Based on the closing prices at the end of February, the total market capitalization reached a record high, surpassing 116.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34%. The manufacturing, scientific research, and technology service industries each saw year-on-year growth exceeding 40%.

In February, 12 companies with a market value over 100 billion yuan were added, and 67 companies over 10 billion yuan, while the number of companies with a market value below 2 billion yuan continued to decline. At the end of February, the median market capitalization of listed companies was 7.253 billion yuan, an 11% increase from the start of the year.
