It is reported that the tanker was carrying 140,000 tons of crude oil from Russia, destined for Turkey. The attack caused a violent explosion, damaging the ship’s bridge and other upper structures, and flooding the engine room. After receiving the emergency distress signal from the tanker, the Turkish Coast Guard has urgently dispatched coast guard vessels and comprehensive emergency rescue ships to the scene for handling.
