Since the outbreak of the new round of the Israel-Palestine conflict in October 2023, Israel has been in continuous combat for about two and a half years.

During this period, Israel has launched attacks everywhere, occupying a large amount of land in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, and has engaged in multiple confrontations with Hamas, Yemen’s Houthis, Iran, and Hezbollah, even firing upon UN forces stationed in Lebanon multiple times.

The prolonged multi-front operations have put sustained pressure on the Israeli military. The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, recently issued a warning, stating that “the army is heading toward internal collapse.”

Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, Israeli forces strike everywhere

Multiple soldiers killed in Lebanon

The Israeli military stated early today (March 27) local time that it had carried out large-scale attacks on “Iranian regime facilities” located in Tehran.

On the 26th, the Israel Defense Forces reported that the air force had launched multiple rounds of airstrikes against Iran over the past day, targeting dozens of Iranian military production facilities.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on the 25th that military operations against Iran are being conducted with full force. He made these remarks during a video conference with local government leaders in northern Israel, stating that military actions against Iran would “continue in full force.”

Channel 12 reported that a draft from the Israeli government indicates plans to extend the “domestic state of emergency” until April 14.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military reported on March 26 local time that two Israeli soldiers were killed in military operations in southern Lebanon, with several others injured. This raises the total number of Israeli soldiers killed in the current invasion of southern Lebanon to four.

The statement said that the deceased, Volansky, belonged to the IDF’s 7th Armored Brigade. According to preliminary investigations, Hezbollah militants fired two anti-tank missiles at an Israeli tank in southern Lebanon, resulting in Volansky’s death and injuring four others.

Previously, the Israeli Defense Forces stated on the 26th that a 21-year-old soldier from the special forces was killed in fighting in southern Lebanon.

Since the U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran, the Israeli military has conducted airstrikes across various locations in Lebanon, and ground troops have re-entered southern Lebanon. Israeli President, Prime Minister, and Defense Minister have repeatedly announced plans to occupy large areas of southern Lebanon to establish a “buffer zone.” Since March 2, Israeli attacks have resulted in thousands of deaths in Lebanon, with over 3,000 injured and millions displaced.

The Israeli Defense Forces stated that on the night of the 24th, they launched airstrikes in central Gaza, targeting the elite armed organization “Nukhba” of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which was conducting military drills there. The airstrikes resulted in the deaths of several members of this organization. The military stated that this organization posed a threat to Israeli forces due to “multiple recent military trainings in the area.”

Additionally, Israel recently launched attacks on military infrastructure in southern Syria. Following the political upheaval in Syria in December 2024, Israel occupied the Golan Heights buffer zone and further encroached into adjacent areas under the pretext of “self-defense.”

IDF Chief of Staff: Military under sustained combat pressure

“Heading towards internal collapse”

According to Xinhua News Agency, opposition leader Lapid criticized the government on the 26th, stating that simultaneous military actions in multiple directions have strained troop resources and are pushing the nation towards a “security disaster.” Recently, IDF Chief of Staff Halevi warned that “the army is heading toward internal collapse.”

The leader of the opposition “Yesh Atid” party and former Prime Minister Lapid stated in a televised address on the 26th that the government has allowed the military to engage in multi-front operations without a clear strategy and with severely insufficient forces, placing excessive pressure on the IDF, and pointed out that the current situation is weakening national security defense capabilities, pushing the country toward a “security disaster.”

According to Israeli i24 News on the 26th, Halevi warned in a security cabinet meeting on the 25th that the army is “heading toward internal collapse” under sustained combat pressure, even stating that he had “issued ten warnings.”

Reports indicate that the IDF is currently maintaining military operations in multiple directions, including the Gaza Strip and northern Israel, with the prolonged mobilization of reserve forces continuously straining their troop capacity.

Israeli authorities announce: 5,411 injured sent to hospitals

Mayor breaks down in tears, angrily rebukes Netanyahu

Since the attack by the U.S. and Israel on February 28, Iran has continuously targeted Israeli objectives, and as of now, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard has launched over 80 waves of attacks. Numerous Israeli targets have been attacked, and as the conflict deepens, Israel’s losses are gradually increasing.

Just a few days ago, the area near the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Israel was also hit, resulting in hundreds of injuries. The military admitted it failed to successfully intercept Iranian missiles directed at Dimona and Arad and will conduct an investigation. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a statement saying, “It was a very difficult night.”

As Iran’s main ally, Hezbollah has been continuously launching attacks on Israel since the evening of March 2. The Israeli Defense Forces stated that on just March 26 alone, Hezbollah fired over 100 rockets at Israel. Previously, rockets from Hezbollah had also struck near the Israeli President, forcing him to take shelter urgently.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Health, as of 6 PM local time on March 26, a total of 5,411 injured persons have been sent to hospitals for treatment since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict. Among them, 95 remain hospitalized, and 14 are in serious condition.

On March 26 local time, a senior spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces, Sardar Shekarchi, stated that since the onset of the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict, 1,321 Israelis have been killed.

Recently, a mayor in northern Israel broke down in tears during a live broadcast, angrily rebuking Prime Minister Netanyahu in a video that surfaced. The mayor loudly questioned Netanyahu, saying, “The border settlements have been destroyed, what are you doing?” and claimed, “No country is supporting us; you have ruined everything.”

Since the outbreak of the war, northern Israel has been a primary target for attacks from Iran and Hezbollah.
