SLB expands Nvidia partnership to develop AI infrastructure for energy sector
Oilfield services company SLB is expanding its partnership with Nvidia to develop AI infrastructure and models specifically for the energy sector. This collaboration will see SLB become a design partner for modular AI data centers powered by Nvidia technology and work with the chip firm to create an “AI Factory for Energy,” aimed at helping oil and gas producers and power companies leverage AI for operational data. The initiative addresses the energy industry’s growing need to process vast amounts of data efficiently, cut costs, improve reliability, and lower emissions, especially as drilling demand slows.
