The State Administration for Market Regulation publicly solicits public comments on the "List of Key Industrial Products for Online Sales (2026 Edition) (Draft for Comments)."

On March 26, People’s Financial News reported that in order to strengthen the quality and safety supervision of key industrial products sold online, the State Administration for Market Regulation has organized the preparation of the “List of Key Industrial Products for Online Sales (2026 Edition) (Draft for Public Comments)” (hereinafter referred to as the “List”), which is open for public comments from today until April 26. On December 8, 2025, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the “Regulations on Quality and Safety Supervision and Administration of Key Industrial Products Sold Online” (hereinafter referred to as the “Management Regulations”). The “List,” as part of the “Management Regulations,” clarifies the scope of key industrial products sold online and is an inevitable requirement for promoting the implementation of the “Management Regulations.” This version of the “List” includes a total of 85 products, based on industrial products that implement production licensing and mandatory product certification management, as well as industrial products related to personal health and life and property safety that have mandatory national standard requirements. It highlights products with a high frequency of online sales, focuses on outstanding issues of product quality and safety, and takes into account multiple factors such as the feasibility of implementing relevant requirements. The “List” systematically categorizes products according to their functional attributes and applicable objects, specifically including 20 varieties of 9 types of key industrial products that implement industrial product production license management, such as cement, liquefied petroleum gas pressure regulators, and safety helmets; 46 varieties of 11 types of key industrial products that implement mandatory product certification management, such as electric water heaters and mobile power sources; and 19 varieties of 7 types of key industrial products that do not implement industrial product production license or mandatory product certification management, but are related to personal health and life and property safety and have mandatory national standard requirements, such as locks and student supplies. The “List” will be dynamically managed, and adjustments and updates will be made in a timely manner based on the characteristics of products sold online, risks, and quality and safety conditions, and will be released in the form of announcements to ensure that the products included in the management requirements align with the regulatory situation.
