Wine Price Insider March 27 Price Release: Qinghua Fen 20 remains unchanged month-over-month
Sina Finance’s “Alcohol Price Reference” Launched with a Bang: Know the Real Market Prices of Famous Baijiu
Sina Finance’s “Alcohol Price Reference” has collected data over the past 24 hours, showing that the average retail price of major products in the Chinese baijiu market slightly rose overall on March 27. If each major product is sold as a bundled package, the total price today is 9,914 yuan, a mild increase of 10 yuan from yesterday. The overall market performance is stable, with high-end products from the Maotai series seeing price increases, slightly elevating the market focus.
Today, the baijiu market saw six products rise, three fall, and two remain stable. On the rise, Guojiao 1573 led with a price increase of 5 yuan/bottle, achieving three consecutive days of gains; Gujinggong 20 rose by 4 yuan/bottle; Premium Maotai increased by 3 yuan/bottle, realizing five consecutive gains and hitting a one-month high; Feitian Maotai, Qinghua Lang, and Shuijing Jian Nan Chun all saw minor increases of 1 yuan/bottle. On the decline, Wuliangye 1618 led with a drop of 3 yuan/bottle, falling to a near 30-day low; Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ and Xijiu Junpin both saw slight decreases of 1 yuan/bottle. Wuliangye Pu Wuba generation and Qinghua Fen 20 prices remained unchanged.
The “Alcohol Price Reference” daily data sources come from approximately 200 collection points distributed reasonably across major regions nationwide, including but not limited to designated distributors of liquor companies, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The original sampling data reflects the real transaction retail prices handled at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide the industry with an objective, scientific, and fully traceable data set regarding the market prices of well-known baijiu. With the launch of the official i-Maotai platform selling Feitian Maotai at 1,499 yuan/bottle on New Year’s Day, and the sale of Premium Maotai at 2,299 yuan/bottle starting January 9, this new channel’s magnetic effect on the average retail prices of these two products is gradually becoming evident. The daily alcohol prices published by “Alcohol Price Reference” follow a weighted calculation rule based on real transaction volumes, and we have incorporated measurable prices into the calculation of retail prices for both types of liquor.

In important news related to the baijiu industry, the well-known auction house Sotheby’s recently released its 2025 Wine and Spirits Market Report, indicating a recovery trend in the global secondary market for alcoholic beverages, with increased attention on Chinese baijiu in the international auction market. The report shows that the total transaction value of alcohol auctions in 2025 is expected to increase by 12% year-on-year to 127.5 million USD, with spirits contributing approximately 20% of the total revenue, maintaining the top position in transaction prices for the sixth consecutive year. Among them, Guizhou Maotai ranked second in the global spirits auction market with a 16% share of total transaction value, becoming the only Chinese baijiu brand to enter the top tier of this list. Throughout the year, Sotheby’s hosted 69 auctions, selling 26,509 lots and attracting buyers from 63 countries and regions, about one-third of whom were first-time participants, with a trend toward a younger buyer demographic. Additionally, Sotheby’s has launched a special auction for aged Chinese baijiu, featuring multiple batches of Maotai products, including the 1981 “Five-Star Brand” Guizhou Maotai, the 1983 “Five-Star Brand” Guizhou Maotai, the 1983-1985 “Big Feitian,” and the “Iron Cap” Maotai from 1986 to 1996.
