Iran claims attack on "Lincoln" aircraft carrier caused it to withdraw
According to reports from the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting on the 13th, the Iranian Armed Forces Headquarters stated that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Navy launched an attack on the U.S. “Abraham Lincoln” aircraft carrier, which has now lost its combat capability and has left the area of the incident to return to the United States.
According to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency on the 12th, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalarali said that Iran’s strike on the “Lincoln” aircraft carrier was “a warning to the aggressor.” He emphasized that as the aggression continues, “the losses of enemy forces and equipment will increase.”
A few hours ago, the U.S. Central Command said on social media that the “Lincoln” carrier strike group is “projecting power from the sea,” continuing to support military actions against Iran.
Previously, Iran repeatedly stated that Iran had launched missiles at the “Lincoln” aircraft carrier. The U.S. military has repeatedly denied that the “Lincoln” aircraft carrier was hit by Iranian missiles, claiming that Iranian missiles did not even come close to the carrier.
