U.S. Treasury yields rise sharply then fall back, investors focus on falling oil prices

Gelonghui April 8 | Tuesday (April 7) New York close, the US 10-year Treasury yield fell 1.19 basis points to 4.3188%, after rising to 4.3784% at 23:05 Beijing time, hitting a daily high. The 2-year US Treasury yield fell 3.11 basis points to 3.8167%, after rising to 3.8746% at 23:05, then continued to decline; the 30-year US Treasury yield rose 1.42 basis points to 4.8999%, after reaching 4.9449% at 23:05, also hitting a daily high. The 2/10-year US Treasury yield spread increased by 2.330 basis points to +49.999 basis points. The 10-year Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities (TIPS) yield fell 2.39 basis points to 1.94%, after rising to 2.0156% at 23:05; the 2-year TIPS yield fell 6.84 basis points to 0.4881%; the 30-year TIPS yield rose 1.15 basis points to 2.6740%.
