According to a message released on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov had a phone call with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah on the 7th, exchanging views on the ongoing deterioration of the military and political situation in the Persian Gulf region. Both sides called for an immediate halt to hostilities in the area.
The two sides pointed out that hostilities in the Persian Gulf region are causing casualties and serious damage to critical civilian infrastructure.
Regions not directly involved in armed conflicts have also suffered these losses.
