By closely focusing on key medicines such as shortage drugs, emergency rescue drugs, and commonly used medicines, market regulation authorities made every effort to investigate and handle major monopoly cases in the pharmaceutical sector. They investigated and handled the monopoly case involving injection of neostigmine methanesulfonate, imposing fines and confiscations of 223,000,000 yuan; they also investigated and handled the monopoly agreement case involving dexamethasone sodium phosphate bulk drug (API), imposing fines and confiscations of 362,000,000 yuan, with the organizers receiving a maximum penalty of 5,000,000 yuan. Related enterprises were imposed fines of more than 8% of their sales from the previous year, helping to drive down the price of the relevant medicines by nearly 94%. (CCTV News)
