$BTC $ETH $RAVE The world’s first “shot”! Hong Kong officially opens the floodgates for stablecoins, with Standard Chartered and HSBC leading the way—the first to “take the first bite.”
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority is amazing! It’s the first globally to issue a stablecoin license, and it issued two at once—those who received them are none other than Hong Kong’s two major banks: Standard Chartered and HSBC.
What does this mean? Here it is in three sentences:
First, Hong Kong is back at the top seat of the global financial center—this time it’s not relying on its old strengths, but on stablecoins taking the initiative. While others are still watching, Hong Kong has already issued licenses.
Second, standing behind this is not just the HKMA, but also the People’s Bank of China. In the global financial and currency battle, in the end it comes down to whose settlement tools have the final say. The United States relies on aircraft carriers to protect the dollar—this time, Hong Kong is leading with rules. In the era of blockchain and digital currencies, whoever gets the world to settle using your stablecoin first wins the first step.
Third, don’t think this is just short-term hype. Stablecoins start by pegging to fiat currency; will they, like the dollar when it broke away from the Bretton Woods system back then, “run wild”? That will take decades to find out. But whoever sets off first will have the greatest first-mover advantage.
And this is only the first batch. The second batch and third batch are already on the way. Standard Chartered and HSBC are just the opening act—more banks, more players, will rush into this track. This is not a topic for a couple of days, but a major financial trend spanning ten or twenty years.
In the next two weeks, do you think there will be a large amount of capital quietly working the back door, surging into Hong Kong, into stablecoins, and into those who hold the licenses—or are about to get them?
The opportunity has already opened. Those who have figured it out have already started taking action.#香港首批稳定币牌照出炉 #Gate现货衍生品双双冲进全球前三 #原油小幅上涨 #加密市场回升 #易理华成立AI基金OpenXLabs
