U.S. media reports that more than a thousand U.S. troops have been withdrawn from Bahrain

ME News, April 5 (UTC+8): On April 3, United States National Public Radio reported, citing a statement by a U.S. Navy spokesperson, that after the conflict between the U.S. and Iran began, 1,500 U.S. service members stationed at a U.S. military base in Bahrain and their family members had been “repatriated back to the United States.” The report also said that personnel were evacuated from other U.S. military bases in the Middle East, but the specific figures are not yet clear.
