I just found out that the mayor of Vancouver tried to push for a Bitcoin investment proposal, but the city and the province blocked everything. It's interesting because while some mayors like Miami's have been more open to cryptocurrencies, in Vancouver it seems local authorities prefer to curb these movements. I don't know if it's due to regulations or simply a lack of trust in the sector. The case of Vancouver's mayor shows that although there is interest in some governments, there is still a lot of institutional skepticism. What do you all think, do you believe that eventually more cities will adopt Bitcoin or will it remain controversial?
