Integrated Circuit ETF Guotai (159546) has pulled back by more than 3%, driven by the core driving force of AI computing power. With the semiconductor industry looking up, positions may be worth considering at lower levels.
On April 2, the Integrated Circuit ETF Guotai (159546) retreated by more than 3%. Driven by core AI computing power, the semiconductor industry outlook is improving, and opportunities at low levels may be worth considering.
Donghai Securities noted that AI computing power has become the core driving force behind the semiconductor industry. Under AI computing power and the global digital economy, the era of trillion-dollar semiconductor markets may arrive earlier—by the end of 2026. In 2026, the industry will show three major trends: First, AI computing power will dominate. Global AI infrastructure spending will reach $45 billion, pulling demand for GPUs, HBM, and high-speed network chips, and transmitting this demand throughout the entire value chain, including wafer fabs, advanced packaging, and equipment and materials; Second, a storage revolution is underway. The HBM market is growing rapidly in scale, and capacity shortages are significant; Third, technology will drive industrial upgrading. “Advanced process technology + advanced packaging” as a dual-engine drive will become the core path. Currently, overseas electronics and semiconductor companies are seeing a pullback, as international developments are changing quickly, and market funds mainly focus on risk prevention. China’s semiconductor industry development remains relatively positive, with considerable long-term room for domestic substitution.
The Integrated Circuit ETF Guotai (159546) tracks the Integrated Circuit Index (932087). The index mainly covers companies involved in integrated circuit design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, as well as related materials and equipment. The constituent stocks have high technical content and growth-oriented characteristics. Industry allocation is concentrated in the semiconductor industry chain, in order to reflect the overall performance of companies in this field.
