Aergo is an open enterprise blockchain platform optimized for hybrid deployments, bringing together both inclusive and exclusive blockchain architectures. The project was developed and implemented by Blocko, a leading South Korean blockchain developer, with support from Samsung. Aergo is designed for corporate solutions, providing a stable infrastructure for decentralized applications (dApps).

Key features of Aergo, aimed at corporate use, include a SQL-based smart contract mechanism, providing more intuitive data management and contract development. The platform hosts a variety of blockchain infrastructures: private ones use the Proof-of-Authority consensus mechanism with the RAFT algorithm, while its public counterpart, the Aergo mainnet, relies on a Byzantine Fault Tolerant Delegated Proof-of-Stake mechanism. Aergo’s significant difference is its ability to reward leading cloud service providers, such as well-known telecommunications companies, for providing dedicated nodes for private blockchains.
