Space and Time collaborates with a16z to enhance Jolt performance

Space and Time collaborates with a16z to accelerate Jolt development using the Dory polynomial commitment scheme, improving performance by 6 times. The Dory scheme optimizes verification of large data sets and is suitable for high-throughput zero-knowledge systems, and will continue to contribute optimized implementations for the community in the future.

According to Golden Finance, Guy Wuollet, an investor at a16z Crypto, said on social media that zero-knowledge (ZK) technology is severely underestimated and discussed its huge potential in cryptocurrency and developer tools. Wuollet compared the success of the iPhone to the success of the iPhone and pointed out that ZK technology is expected to bring a series of innovative applications. He mentioned that the success of the iPhone lies in the combination of programmable mobile computers, GPS, and high-quality cameras, which gave rise to applications such as Instagram and Uber. Similarly, ZK technology, especially zkVMs (such as Jolt), may bring similar revolutionary changes. DeFi protocols should adopt risk modeling in ZK and use more complex pricing functions. In addition, blockchain and ZK proofs can enable people to have censorship-resistant AI companions and be used to prove simple machine learning models. Wuollet concluded that ZK technology can be used to build more complex DeFi protocols, censorship-resistant AI companions, or on-chain machine learning, calling on developers to pay attention to this emerging field.

On May 17th, Taiko, an Ethereum Layer 2 network based on zkRollup, tweeted that it has launched Raiko, a multi-prover. Raiko is an integrated environment that can build, run, and benchmark ZK-VM targets. Currently, it supports SP1, Risc0, and SGX, and is actively working on integrating Jolt and Powdr.

Odaily a16z Crypto has released a zkEVM solution called Jolt to provide a framework for EVM-compatible rollups using SNARKs. "In addition to the increased speed, because Jolt is based on a new design paradigm, it's easier for developers to scale and easier to audit, resulting in improved security," a16z Crypto said. ”(TheBlock)

Jinse Finance reported that a16z crypto, the cryptocurrency division of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, has launched Lasso and Jolt, a pair of new tools based on Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge (SNARK). SNARKs are zero-knowledge proofs that have the potential to facilitate scalable ZK Rollups in layer-2 spaces, which are generally considered computationally intensive. Lasso, the main innovation of two research papers by a16z, employs a "lookup parameter" mechanism that facilitates faster zero-knowledge proofs. It matches specific inputs with corresponding outputs without revealing additional information. The team notes that Lasso introduces a simplified approach to verifying SNARKs, avoiding tedious hand-optimized circuits by performing lookups on a large number of structured tables.
