On April 1, according to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and “Russia Today” (RT), Ibrahim Aziz, chairman of Iran’s parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, posted on April 1 a message to U.S. President Trump, saying the Strait of Hormuz will certainly reopen, but it will not be open to the United States.
On the day, Aziz posted on the social platform X: “Trump has finally realized his dream of ‘regime change’—it’s just on the maritime order in the region! ‘The Strait of Hormuz will certainly reopen, but it will not be open to you (the United States); it will be open only to those countries that comply with Iran’s new laws.’” Aziz added that the era of “hospitality” lasting 47 years is now gone forever.
