Bahrain calls on the United Nations to pass a resolution authorizing the use of force to open up the Strait of Hormuz

Gate News message, April 6, Bahrain’s foreign minister called on the United Nations to adopt a resolution authorizing the use of force to open the Strait of Hormuz in order to avert a humanitarian and economic crisis. Bahrain’s foreign minister said: “This draft is not seeking an escalation of the situation, but is intended to provide a framework to prevent further collapse of the international system by emphasizing the necessity of protecting freedom of navigation and transit and stopping further attacks.”
