The price of Solana is about to achieve a massive increase of 45% after the U.S. SEC dropped the charges against Helium, a protocol designed on the SOL blockchain. According to one of the leading cryptocurrency traders, the price of Solana could reach $180 in the coming weeks as several bullish signals align.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission dropped the charges against Helium, leading to a rise in the price of Solana. Helium is a protocol that migrated to the SOL blockchain in 2023. The lawsuit in question alleged that Nova Labs violated U.S. securities laws by issuing the HNT token.
The lawsuit was filed in January 2025, just before the resignation of former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. The current SEC, which is supportive of cryptocurrencies, dismissed the case considering intellectual property rights, meaning that the regulatory body cannot bring a similar lawsuit against Helium in the future.
