Trump is considering providing a temporary exemption for tariffs imposed on imported cars and parts.

According to Bloomberg, U.S. President Trump has stated that he is considering providing a temporary exemption from tariffs imposed on imported cars and parts to give automotive companies more time to establish production lines in the U.S. Currently, a 25% tariff has been imposed on complete vehicles, and the tariff on parts is expected to take effect no later than May 3.
