Wu learned that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced on April 14, 2025, that it would extend the review period for three proposals related to exchange rule changes concerning encryption. Specifically, these include: NYSE Arca’s proposal to allow Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF to stake Ether; Cboe BZX’s proposal to allow WisdomTree Bitcoin Fund to implement physical subscriptions and redemptions; and Cboe BZX’s proposal to allow VanEck Bitcoin Trust and VanEck Ethereum Trust to implement physical subscriptions and redemptions. The original review deadline for the above proposals was mid-April, and the SEC has now extended the review deadlines to June 1 and June 3, 2025, respectively.
