Cifra Markets will present a model for cryptocurrency regulation in Belarus.

On April 23, at the Blockchain Forum 2025 conference, the CEO of the company, Alexey Korolenko, will speak at the RBC session “Investment Opportunities in the Cryptocurrency World: Prospects for Russia.” The speaker will discuss the Belarusian experience in regulating the crypto market: the conditions for company admission, the prohibition of P2P transactions, and the principles of operation of the PVT as an industry regulator.

Cifra Markets — the first cryptocurrency broker in the CIS operating under full regulation. The company’s infrastructure is located in Belarus, where the regulation of the cryptocurrency sector is carried out by the High Technologies Park (PHT) — an agency accountable to the Council of Ministers and the President of the country. This legal regime allows for the establishment of transparent operations with digital assets and the creation of comprehensive investor protection mechanisms.

A separate emphasis will be placed on investor protection. Alexey Korolenko will present Cifra Markets’ approach to verifying cryptocurrencies for “purity,” mandatory KYC and compliance procedures, custodial asset storage, and technical audits. The discussion will also cover interaction with foreign platforms in friendly jurisdictions as an alternative to exchanges from countries with high sanction risks.
