On May 27, according to an official announcement, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that the “public comment” phase of the WisdomTree XRP Spot ETF had ended, and that it had “initiated a further review process” and had not yet directly approved or rejected it. On February 19, 2025, the SEC formally accepted WisdomTree’s XRP ETF application and launched a public comment period, which has now ended. The SEC has the authority to extend the review period to a maximum of 240 days, with a final decision to be announced by the end of October 2025 at the latest.
