Former Trump senior adviser calls for Musk’s deportation Stephen Bannon, former senior adviser and chief strategist to US President Donald Trump (Steve Bannon) called for Musk’s deportation after the US president and the billionaire got into a verbal altercation on social media. In a telephone interview with The New York Times, Bannon said, “They should open a formal investigation into his (Musk’s) immigration status because I firmly believe he is an illegal immigrant and he should be deported immediately.” He also urged the Trump administration to cancel all government contracts with Musk’s company and investigate his alleged drug use.
