Hightower's investment strategist Stephanie Link dropped an interesting take recently: she believes Wall Street is seriously undervaluing what Microsoft has built in the AI space.

It's a bold call, especially when everyone's buzzing about AI infrastructure plays. But Link's argument centers on how the market isn't properly pricing in Microsoft's integrated AI ecosystem—from Azure's enterprise dominance to their OpenAI partnership that's reshaping productivity tools.

While tech stocks have been volatile lately, her thesis suggests there's a disconnect between Microsoft's actual AI revenue streams and how traders are valuing the stock. The company's positioned differently than pure-play AI startups—they've got distribution, enterprise relationships, and monetization channels already firing.

Worth noting: institutional investors like Link don't typically make these public calls without conviction. Could be an early signal that Microsoft's AI moat is deeper than current multiples reflect.

Microsoft has indeed been underestimated this time. The enterprise customer stickiness of Azure is right there.

MSFT is indeed undervalued this time; just the Azure line alone can easily outcompete a bunch of rivals.

This wave of AI integration by Microsoft has indeed been underestimated. The combination of Azure and OpenAI is much more reliable than simply hyping up the AI concept... The fact that major institutions dare to say this shows that there is definitely something worth paying attention to.

MSFT is really undervalued this time; its enterprise ecosystem is right there. It’s not something those pure AI startups hyped up by speculation can compare to.

MSFT was indeed underestimated this time; the Azure line is where the real value lies.

It's that "the market is undervaluing it" argument again—every time I hear it, I think back to my failed attempts at buying the dip... But maybe Stephanie really has something this time; MSFT's moat truly can't be compared to those pure AI concept stocks. It's just so much easier to make money from enterprise clients. The problem is, I still don't have the money to get in.
