That meeting at 3 a.m. on Thursday is almost certain to result in a rate cut—there’s hardly any suspense left, and the market has already priced in the expectations.

The real question lies after the meeting—if cryptocurrencies want to hold their current position, there needs to be fresh positive news to support them immediately.

If there’s a lack of news afterward, breaking through the $80,000 barrier could become quite difficult. This level is already sensitive, and even the slightest disturbance could cause problems. The market is now waiting to see what cards are left to play next.
