The crypto world is never short of opportunities; what’s lacking are traders who can "survive until the next cycle."
Many people pursue overnight riches in the early stages, only to realize later the value of stable profits; they become obsessed with candlesticks and technical analysis, only to find that mental resilience is the ultimate key to victory.
There is a cruel mathematical truth in this market—doubling requires a 100% increase, but a 50% decline is enough to cut your value in half. Bitcoin falling from a high to a low always happens faster than rising from a low to a high. Ethereum’s volatility follows the same pattern. The speed of capital retracement often exceeds expectations.
So? Protecting your principal is always more urgent than chasing returns.
These principles sound simple, but truly implementing them requires iron discipline. It is precisely these "simple methods" that have helped many navigate through multiple bull and bear cycles and survive to this day.
In this market, longevity is the ultimate goal. Those who stick to fundamentals, control risks, and reflect regularly are often the true winners in the end.

Exactly right, I've been surviving these years by not pushing my luck, and friends who went all-in have already quit the scene.

It sounds good, but there are very few who can truly do it. I've seen too many people understand this principle but still get caught up in chasing highs and selling lows.

That's so true, only surviving to the next round counts as a win.
In our circle, there are only dozens or so who die from greed; a single gamble and it's gone.
Protecting the principal is easy to talk about but extremely difficult to do. Seeing others make ten times the profit... doesn't it itch in your heart?
But indeed, those who can survive a few cycles are mostly tough risk control experts, not much glamorous about it.

That's right, but how many people can really do it? Everyone is just thinking about going all-in to turn things around.
Living is the most important thing, there's no doubt about that.
If the principal is lost, everything is meaningless. Those who understand this are living quite well.
Protecting the principal is more valuable than any technical analysis, I believe in that.
Many people lose money because of greed; ultimately, it's a mindset issue.
The simple method is the most effective, but unfortunately, most people can't learn it.
It drops much faster than it rises; this rule really hits home.

Everyone's right, but no one listens haha
Deep understanding of the principle, hard to keep the heart
Another one talking about "living longer"... and as a result, I went all-in again this month
Doubling is easy, but being cut in half is hard. I'm the one who got chopped like a leek
The dumb method really works, but it's damn boring
Listening more doesn't help, if your mindset collapses, everything is lost
Winners are those who survive, dead people have nothing to say
Principal is the root, this is true but damn hard to achieve
