Here's a hypothetical question: If you have $500,000 USD but must follow these rules:
Cannot touch Bitcoin The entire fund pool can only be all-in on one coin Must hold for 5 years without moving
Under these conditions, which project would you bet on? Share your reasoning.
This isn't about short-term trading or considering K-line fluctuations; purely from the perspective of long-term survival probability and fundamentals, which coin is most worth your heavy investment?

This question is actually testing who truly understands long-term value, not just a pure gambler's mentality... I'm intimidated. Going all in with 500,000 on one coin and holding for 5 years without moving takes real courage.

The fact that you can't touch BTC in the first place is already quite hopeless, essentially blocking one leg🤷
But if I really had to choose, it would definitely depend on the fundamentals. A five-year cycle is neither long nor short; projects that survive must have real users and revenue. Coins that rely solely on hype are already falling behind.
If I had to go all in on one, I would choose something that solves real problems—like a smart contract platform or a payment layer with practical applications. Those are more reliable than flashy concept coins.
The key is being able to sleep well at night. Not moving for five years means you need to trust deeply; otherwise, a panic sell halfway through is more painful than losing money.

Asking like that is the same as not asking at all... Who dares to go all-in if they haven't moved in five years, unless it's Ethereum, right?

Fine, I'll choose ETH for this question... If I don't move it for 5 years, I'll look at the fundamentals. No matter how you look at it, the Ethereum ecosystem is the most mature, right?

Ethereum, infrastructure is infrastructure. The one most likely to still be around in 5 years is it.

I have to be honest, this question is a bit heartbreaking... Putting 500,000 all in one coin for 5 years? Then I’d choose ETH, even though it will also go through hell, at least its ecosystem is still expanding, unlike some coins that have already cooled off completely.

You should choose ETH. Although you can't touch BTC, the ETH ecosystem has already been established, and betting on it has the least chance of going to zero.
