#数字资产市场动态 The Truth About Getting Rich in Crypto: I Made 30 Million Through Cycles

At 38 years old, I gained substantial wealth during the last market cycle, but it wasn’t due to talent; it was because of my grasp of market rhythms.

When I first entered the space in early 2017, my idea was simple—monthly income of 20,000 to 30,000 yuan, saving some money each year, with the goal of buying property in a first-tier city. Unfortunately, accumulating wealth through salary alone was too slow, and the down payment always seemed out of reach. It wasn’t until I got involved in the cryptocurrency market that I realized how powerful big trends can be.

2020 was a turning point. I invested all my savings, mainly holding ETH, with BTC as a hedge, and sporadically allocated some potential coins. That year, the market was highly volatile. Many people cut losses during the 519 crash, but I took the opposite approach—continuously accumulating at the bottom. No borrowing, no high leverage, only trading what I understood—this is my ironclad rule.

The 2021 market tested my patience the most. When BTC broke new all-time highs, I sensed the end of the cycle. Around 58,000, I began to systematically liquidate my main positions, and ETH gradually took profits near 4,400. The subsequent market movements confirmed my judgment—that was truly the closest point to the top.

When the bull market ended, my account held about 38.51 million yuan. I allocated this money carefully: 10 million to improve my life (buy property in a first-tier city), 20 million in the bank for stable returns, and the remaining 8.51 million continued to participate in market opportunities.

Over the years, I’ve summarized a few practical lessons:

**First, the principal must be self-earned.** Borrowing to enter the market is like entrusting your fate to leverage, which greatly amplifies risk.

**Second, only participate in high-probability opportunities.** Day trading consumes energy; cyclical positioning is the right way.

**Third, greed is the killer of wealth.** Taking profits when it’s good is not shameful; getting wiped out by a full-margin position is the real regret.

**Fourth, make money from big cycles.** It’s not the daily noise but the long-term trend that yields real gains.

Looking at those around me who are truly profitable in this market, they share common traits: they know how to wait, dare to hold heavy at the bottom, and are rational enough to get off at the top. The dream of getting rich quickly is easy to dream, but the hard part is executing this discipline and avoiding detours.

Bro, you're right, but it feels like armchair strategizing afterwards... Clearing out at 58,000 is indeed impressive, but who really dared to believe it back then?

To be honest, the bottom-fishing wave really tests your mental resilience. I was also watching 519, and when I saw the account plummeting, I just wanted to run. But I gritted my teeth and didn't move. Only later did I understand what a cycle really is.

It's easy to say, but the key is to stay on the right rhythm. Most people can't do that.

That's right, it's this logic... but I think the hardest part is still "getting off at the top." When things get crazy, who can stay calm? It's not about making money; what's impressive is truly daring to cash out completely at high levels. Without a mental toughness of ten or eight years of training, it's really impossible to do.
