Keep waiting, or start buying? The key is not in the market, but in yourself
When discussing “whether to bottom fish,” many times we overlook a premise: What is the nature of your funds?
If it’s short-term capital, then the current volatile environment remains risky; continuing to wait for a clearer trend is not wrong. If it’s medium to long-term capital, the market’s gradual decline in pessimism actually provides a more reasonable cost range.
Historical reversals often occur when both sides are uncomfortable: The longs find it slow, The shorts dare not chase.
The current market is approaching this state.
Personally, I don’t think aggressive actions are necessary now, but I’m no longer entirely on the sidelines. It’s more like switching from “defensive mode” to “probing offensive mode.” I don’t predict reversal timing, only respect price action.
Rather than obsess over the direction, it’s better to manage your positions and mindset. Surviving the bear market is the qualification to talk about a bull market.
