According to The Dong-A Ilbo, the South Korean Supreme Court confirmed that a virtual asset exchange executive was sentenced to 4 years in prison and a 4-year qualification suspension for accepting approximately 920 million Korean won worth of cryptocurrency from a suspected North Korean hacker and assisting in contacting active-duty military officers to obtain military secrets. The involved military officer was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined for leaking secrets. The report states that the related hacker is suspected to be affiliated with North Korea's Reconnaissance General Bureau "Research Institute No. 110".
