The tide is turning against AI, and it's becoming impossible to ignore.
What started as hype and optimism around artificial intelligence is now facing real pushback from the public. More people are questioning whether AI adoption is actually beneficial, raising concerns about job displacement, privacy, and the concentration of power in the hands of big tech companies.
This shift in sentiment matters. In the crypto and Web3 space, many projects are integrating AI features—from trading bots to smart contracts to predictive analytics. But as mainstream enthusiasm cools, builders need to think harder about whether AI is truly adding value or just chasing a trend.
The market has a way of punishing hype when reality doesn't match expectations. Projects that lean too heavily on AI narratives without solving real problems might find themselves struggling when the backlash intensifies.

AI hype has peaked, I’ve been saying for a long time that most projects just slap on an AI label to scam investors, and only a few are truly useful.

The AI hype has faded... On the Web3 side, a bunch of projects are just riding the AI wave without really understanding what they're doing.

Honestly, the AI hype has long since cooled down. Many projects are just putting an AI shell on and daring to boast.
In my opinion, there are actually very few useful AI applications in Web3. Most are just storytelling to raise funds.
Let's wait and see. In the next bear market, a bunch of these vapor projects will die off.
