NetEase Inc. (NTES, 9999.HK) has confirmed the departure of Yingfeng Ding, the Executive Vice President overseeing its Interactive Entertainment Group, marking a significant leadership transition within the internet and gaming conglomerate.

Ding’s tenure spanning more than 23 years has been pivotal in establishing NetEase’s prominence in the online gaming sector. As the architect behind the Interactive Entertainment Group—a cornerstone of the company’s gaming operations—he played a critical role in scaling the division and shaping its strategic direction throughout his prolonged tenure.

The veteran executive will formally conclude his role on December 31, 2025. Following the transition, Ding will continue supporting NetEase as an advisory consultant throughout 2026, ensuring continuity during the leadership shift.

This departure underscores evolving senior management at NetEase as the company navigates the competitive online entertainment landscape. The transition allows for fresh leadership while retaining institutional knowledge through Ding’s consultancy role.
