Can ordinary people make money in the cryptocurrency market? Yes, but the premise is that you need to think clearly about how to make it.

Most people enter with the same dream — to turn things around with a few market moves and recover losses in one go. This idea itself is toxic. Trading is not gambling, nor is it a shortcut to defy fate; it’s a game of probabilities. Once you’re obsessed with "quickly recouping" or "getting rich overnight," every decision you make will automatically tilt toward high risk — overleveraging, setting absurd stop-losses, and operating with chaotic rhythm. The final result often ends with the account blowing up.

To survive long-term in this market and steadily make profits, you need to engrain these three things in your mind:

**The first key is to abandon fantasies of huge profits.** Treat trading as investing, not speculation. Only earn the part of the profit you understand and are capable of. Don’t covet high returns beyond your knowledge — those tempting rewards are often the beginning of losses.

**The second is to prioritize risk awareness.** Before trading, clarify: how much can I lose at most? This limit must be small enough not to affect your daily life or cause your mindset to collapse. When risk is capped, your mindset stays stable, and you can hold good positions amid volatility.

**The third is to have a trading system.** Don’t rely on "market feel" — nine times out of ten, that’s just desire giving itself an excuse. A disciplined set of trading rules can help you capture probability advantages and prevent emotions from dominating decisions.

The ones who last the longest in the market are never the smartest, but those who can accept ordinariness, endure slow progress, and stick to "not acting recklessly." That’s the path to differentiated success.

That's so true. The intuition about the market is just a cover for desire. I used to believe it too, but you know how it turned out.

That's right, but most people simply can't do it, including myself haha

That hits too close to home; my intuition is just a pie chart.
