According to analyst Crypto Rover, these factors could support a bullish market outlook. The outlook comes as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP posted short-term gains.

Regulatory and Policy Developments

Crypto Rover highlighted regulatory clarity as a key driver. The crypto industry expects the CLARITY Act to pass in the first quarter of 2026, providing the sector with much-needed guidance and regulation to attract institutional investors.

The report also cited additional exchange-traded fund (ETF) approvals for crypto assets beyond XRP, Solana, Litecoin, and Dogecoin this year.

Furthermore, expanded crypto access through retirement funds and the potential approval of institutional staking products are measures that could broaden participation.

Political and fiscal policy factors are also included. These range from proposed tax rebates to direct consumer payments, alongside expectations of regulatory changes that could ease constraints on financial institutions.

Liquidity and Monetary Conditions

Liquidity remains a central theme in the 2026 thesis. Expected Federal Reserve rate cuts, potential liquidity injections, and easing of supplementary leverage ratio rules are presented as conditions that could increase capital flows into risk assets, including crypto.

Other cited elements include the release of funds from the U.S. Treasury General Account and a weaker U.S. dollar. Periods of rising global liquidity and dollar weakness have coincided with stronger performance in alternative assets.

Macroeconomic Indicators

The list also references broader economic signals. These include inflation trending lower, gross domestic product growth, and manufacturing data such as the Institute for Supply Management index moving above 50, which indicates expansion.

Improving economic data, combined with falling inflation, could support risk appetite without the pressure of aggressive monetary tightening.

On the market side, low exchange reserves are highlighted as a sign that fewer coins are available for immediate sale. Institutional onboarding and an increased focus on tokenizing real-world assets are cited as longer-term demand drivers.

The list also points to historical patterns, including the observation that Bitcoin has not recorded two consecutive negative calendar years, and claims that long-term holder distribution has largely played out.

Current Market Performance

On Friday, Bitcoin reclaimed the $90K level for the first time in 2026. At press time, it trades at $89,524, up 1% in the past day and 2.4% over the past week. Similarly, Ethereum traded at $3,089.33, gaining 2.5% daily and 5.5% weekly, while remaining down 3.7% monthly and 10.2% annually.

XRP traded at $2.00, rising 6.8% in the past day and 8% over the past week, but falling 8.4% over the past month and 18.3% year over year.
