From finance to governance, from data to identity verification, dispersing power into the hands of network participants and breaking free from single intermediaries — this is the core promise of Web3. Of course, realizing this requires the coordination of the entire ecosystem, but the very attempt is worth participating in. The more dispersed the power, the harder it is to be controlled unilaterally, and the closer it gets to true freedom.
