#加密货币监管政策 Seeing the news that the Russian Central Bank is easing restrictions on crypto investments, I thought of a question worth pondering: with the lowered threshold, is the opportunity truly here?

Previously, Russia required individual investors to hold 100 million rubles in deposits and an annual income of 50 million rubles to participate. Now, they are establishing a tiered access mechanism to allow more retail investors to enter. On the surface, this seems like good news, but the Central Bank’s words are worth reading repeatedly: “These assets are not issued or guaranteed by any jurisdiction and face higher volatility and sanctions risks.”

My experience tells me that regulatory easing often comes with risk re-pricing. New investors need to understand a few points: first, lowering the entry barrier does not mean reducing risk — it may actually mean that market participants become more diverse, and volatility could increase. Second, the new rules, which will be officially implemented in 2026, give us ample observation time, so there’s no need to rush into the trend.

The most practical advice is: if you’re interested in crypto assets, ask yourself three questions first: Can I accept losing this money? Do I truly understand this asset? What proportion does it occupy in my overall asset allocation? Only after clarifying these questions should you consider whether to participate. Steady investing has never been about chasing policy dividends, but about understanding risks thoroughly and ensuring every dollar has a clear purpose.
